Terry Dactle
Hank has discovered that he can squeal. On one hand it's adorable because he gets so excited and laughs and smiles at himself and on the other hand it is very loud and incredibly high pitched. I just hope he discovers a new noise soon. Here are some pics of him Terry Dactle-ing it up in the kitchen.

playing around
Tomorrow Hank will be 4 months old. It's hard to believe he has grown so fast. Right now he is working on grabbing things and trying to put them in his mouth. It seems like he figured it out over night. He is laughing like crazy and loves to water ski on Dad's lap. It seems like he figured it out over night. We also had to raise his exersaucer a notch because his knees were bent so much. It seems like just a few days ago he couldn't see over the seat!

In a few days we have his next check-up. I can't wait to see how tall he is and how much he weighs. Place your bets now. I'm guessing 27" and 18 pounds.

Baby Playdate
You might ask what does a baby playdate look like? Like this...

Hank and I have attended a few baby playdates and they are really fun for me. I get out of the house for a little adult conversation and get to see some other cute babies in case I get tired of looking at mine (which would never happen). I am not sure how he feels about them but he seems interested. In this picture he is hanging out with a couple of girlfriends- Lilian and Alexandra. We're hosting everyone at our house in the end of January.
In other news, a little victory. Hank held his own bottle last night. He needed a lot of assistance at first but eventually got the hang of it.

Tonight is our last swim class before the new year. Koko is coming to give moral support and take pictures. They should be posted up here shortly pending my approval ;)

Sea Monkeys
I heard about a swim class for infants and toddlers from a few moms in our moms group and decided to check it out for Hank. The classes are held at a swim school dedicated to kids. He has 6 30 minutes "lessons" that emphasize breathing, buoyancy, and propulsion. The idea is for the babies to feel comfortable enough in the water that if they accidentally fell into water they would be able to help get themselves out.
We have gone to a couple classes already and Hank loves it. We do a lot of singing and splashing and the heated pool is very relaxing (for babies and parents). And Hank certainly does wear himself out for a good nap. He was asleep before I had even changed out of my bathing suit!
Here's a pic of Hank and Daddy at his second lesson.

Keeping up with the Jones' baby.
Since everyone and their baby (see what I did there?) has a blog these days, I decided I wouldn't really be a fit parent if I didn't create one for mine. For my initial entry I'd like to keep it simple and make an attempt to post some photos of the cutest baby on earth- sorry other babies.
